NRHM, new ways to create hope

The Brahmaputra River in Assam spans across many districts, culture, traditions, religions and livelihoods. National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), in association with an

NGO is running ‘Ships of Hope’.

These are health clinics on boats. Fifteen such clinics in 13 districts of Assam are providing health services to the poor. No wonder they are called ‘ships of hope’ in the valley of floods.
